1.  they have incredibly deadly farts.

dog farts

2.  they have cost me, in the last 4 years,  over $12,000 in knee surgery’s, replaced door jams, replaced window sills, replaced blinds, replaced grass, replaced coffee tables, replaced rugs, electronic fences, replaced drywall and dog food.

Eaten Wall

3.  they eat a lot so the obviously the poop alot

Paint it, Pierce it or Plug it (ok technically that isn’t a picture of a dog pooping.  but you have to admit it is close.)

movie review update for elysium . . . .

i have been guilted into giving an updated review to elysium.  my wife is very concerned that if Matt Damon or Jody Foster were to see my review of their new film they wouldn’t understand that it wasn’t their acting that made my review so . . . oh i don’t know . . . underwhelming . . . but rather how the story unfolds.

so . . . . Jody Foster and Matt Damon.  should you stumble onto my humble bloggings while desperately searching out reviews for your recent release – please know and understand i thought your acting was wonderful.  i mean matt…..come on man.  right on just as always.  you know i love you man.  and jody….your portrayal of the uncaring protect the rich at all cost power hungry i would rather be president secretary of defense Rumsfeld …… errrrrrr ……. Delacourt wast spot on.  well done indeed.

my wife was also very concerned that the reader wouldn’t know or understand why my review was “as it was”.  i told her i am not in the game to explain why.  of course i am now going to tell you why.   i think we know who rules the roost at mi casa.

updated review for elysium.

jody foster and matt damon –  good job!

special effects – awesome.

story – slow moving – full of holes – unexplained situations – drags on – i caught myself looking at my watch thinking ehhhhh……it could be over now and i could go get a beer.

verdict:  ehhhhhhh…….it could be better.  if you have to watch it at the theater watch it at a theater that serves beer.  time won’t drag as much that way.

there.  happy honey?

i am old . . . but i am not dead . . . music i like – post #1

I have decided to start another post series.  it will be based on music that you may have stopped looking for and listening to years ago because your radio is stuck on sirrusxm 80’s on 8 or 70’s on 7 or bob or jack or some bullshit station that plays music you listened to in high school or college or when you first got laid and that you still listen to because you are stuck in a rut.  a rut that started when you got married and you haven’t been able to get yourself out of because your spouse refuses to experiment sexually and because your boss is an asshole and the kids have to be at ball practice and because someone has to put food on the table and because you have to visit the in-laws and …….. well . . . god dammit you just don’t have the time.

do not fear my poor beaten down soul for I am your musical savior.  i will provide you music that you should know about . . . music you should listen to.  music you should put on your iphone or ipod or your rewritable cd or – god forbid – you should try and find on vinyl- and not because you want to be cool with your kids or so that you have something to talk about at parties or to bring up at the water cooler at work.  but just because you should listen to it.  because you deserve to listen to it.   because you are old . . . but you are not dead.

the band:  Not in the Face – how cool of a name is that?

from: Austin, Texas – how cool of a place is that?

music style:  in your face – how ironic is that?

the song:  off their upcoming, as of yet unnamed, EP –  “Brass Tacks”

watch, listen and enjoy – oh and you are welcome.

tv show review update – the killing . . . .

just finished season 2.

it still rains a lot.

people still cry a lot.

i actually played my “the killing shot game” where i take a shot every time it is raining or someone cries.  got totally drunk. i mean REALLY drunk.

the middle of the season is a bit . . . ehhhh.

the final episode?  holy shit never saw that coming totally worth the middle of the season and the hangovers from the shot game good.

my recommendation – watch it.

it is on netflix.

Elysium . . . . a movie review . . . .

eehhhhh . . . . . .

and this is why I like Austin …..
